Synopsis

In this mural, Miguel speaks to us in a veiled way about life and care. A personal tribute to the intrahistory of his own upbringing and fatherhood. Sowing, watering, cultivating, caring for, and harvesting. This life cycle seems to be revealed by the protagonist’s thinking and her reflective gaze, as well as by the affection with which she is holding the flower pot from which fresh shoots are sprouting. The composition is populated by a dreamlike and warm environment constructed by a pattern of organic forms and a tranquil range of colours.

Bio

Miguel Peralta is one of the most visible activists in the Galician mural scene. His work spans illustration, painting, and muralism, with a complex and dense pictorial style, full of symbolism and visual metaphors that contain profound reflections on today’s society and the human condition. His paintings feature a mixture of different techniques and materials to achieve an optimal result that enables him to understand and communicate everything he requires. He studied at the Granada School of Arts and Crafts. In 2011 he settled in Galicia and established the Cestola cooperative together with Xoana Almar.
