Synopsis

The mural’s motif depicts a microscopic image of several neural networks intertwined with each other. The concept functions as a visual extension to the brain activity that occurs during the mind’s creative processes. From micro to macro on a real scale, a zoom into the mental state of our brain while the most active processes of the psyche are taking place.

Bio

Liqen was born in 1980 in Vigo. From a very young age, along with his brother, he began displaying an inborn gift for drawing and managing proportions, which he has been polishing little by little, thanks to the fixation and observation of the reality around him. Thanks to his early passion for nature and for the future of man and the diversity of species (especially insects), he acquired within him an astonishing capacity for cosmogonic creation, for the fantastic and delusional inventiveness that the world gives him. Liqen is considered one of the pioneers of Galician urban muralism and one of the discipline’s most international artists.
