Near the city centre, two large conventional shopping centres bring the Santiago shopping experience to an end. These are called the 'Compostela' Shopping Centre, which consists of Hipercor and Tiendas El Corte Inglés, a chain famous throughout Spain.
Also is it Área Central' Shopping Centre, a large area within the As Fontiñas neighbourhood, where there are all kinds of shops in a very peculiar architectural space combining apartments and business establishments, cafeterias, restaurants and a children's playground add to this shopping centre's attractions.

The Radio Taxi is an alternative transport for access from any point in the city and when you finish making your shopping you can go to the taxi stop outside the shopping centre.
