Parque do Lago is the third green space on Monte Gaiás, in addition to the Forest of Galicia and Literary Garden, with an area of 51,163 square metres in which to enjoy nature. Located on the Gaiás slope near O Viso, Parque do Lago is a landscape regeneration project led by the architect Isabal Aguirre, director of the Juana de Vega Foundation’s Galician Landscaping School.
This green space includes a 4,783-square-metre lake, surrounded by existing vegetation and a wooden platform featuring benches, as well as a low-energy LED lighting system.
The park also features an oak grove converted into a leisure space with tables, benches and sports installations (running circuit).
Furthermore, a network of paths enables visitors to enjoy a stroll through the park and connects it with the “Cidade da Cultura” (City of Cuture) and the O Viso entrance.
