The Parque das Cancelas is an urban green space with an approximate area of 460 thousand square meters, ideal for walking and relaxation, featuring landscaped areas and an ornamental fountain. From a symbolic point of view, both the Avenue surrounding it, dedicated to John Paul II, and the bronze statue of Benedict XVI, located in the middle of the park, act as an enduring reminder of the papal visits to Santiago de Compostela.
