3rd SANTIAGO(é)TAPAS competition to be held from June 11 to July 4
Santiago Tourism is organising the 3rd SANTIAGO(é)TAPAS competition, which will again fill the city with bite-size gastronomy from June 11 to July 4. On the previous two occasions the competition lasted for two weeks and three weekends. However, due to the Compostela Holy Year, this year’s competition will be extended to three weeks and four weekends.
Registration is open for establishments interested in participating, being limited to the first 50 to do so. A preliminary jury will analyse the recipes of the proposed tapas, to make sure they meet the quality standards required by Santiago Tourism.
SANTIAGO(é)TAPAS has become a well established event for both Compostela residents and visitors. During the first competition, more than 20,000 tapas were consumed, rising to 27,000 the second year.
SANTIAGO(é)TAPAS is an event organised by Santiago Tourism, with the collaboration of Estrella Galicia beer, the Compostela Catering Association and Pousadas de Compostela accommodation.
