Iconografía artística de José Ángel Valente 1955-2024
Throughout his life, and even after his death, the Galician poet, storyteller, essayist and translator José Ángel Valente (Ourense, 1929-Geneva, 2000) was portrayed on several occasions and in different artistic techniques (painting, drawing, caricature).
Part of this material can be seen in the exhibition Artistic Iconography of José Ángel Valente 1955-2024, which will be on display at the Faculty of Philology and is included in the activities planned for the 50th anniversary of the centre.

Festivals
The Festa do Banquete de Conxo will count on the tourist train, which will be available to citizens and visitors for free transfers between the Alameda, in the city centre, and the neighbourhood of Conxo.
The 2025 Ascensión Festivities will fill Compostela with music, activities, and tradition during the last week of May. This celebration, one of the most beloved by the people of Santiago, returns with open-air concerts, children’s shows, traditional markets, fairground rides in the Alameda, and exhibitions of Galician folk culture.
