Frágua de amor, by Portuguese playwright Gil Vicente, is co-produced by Centro Dramático Galego together with six Portuguese cultural structures: Escuela de la Noche-Grupo de Teatro de Coímbra, O Bando de Surunyo, Artway, Cendrev-Teatro Garcia de Resende, Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente and Teatro Nacional São João.
The piece is directed by António Augusto Barros and features live music by O Bando de Surunyo, specialized in the interpretation of works from the 16th and 17th centuries, with six voices, lute, viola da gamba, flute and percussion under the musical direction of Hugo Sanches and with the Galician Xurxo Varela on viola. A cast of nine actors and actresses will perform on stage: Ana Teresa Santos, Carlos Meireles, Igor Lebreaud, Maria Quintelas, Miguel Magalhães, Nuno Meireles, Sérgio Ramos and the Galician Mónica Camaño.
