Saudade
Patri Couto, born in Santiago de Compostela, began painting in 1995 as a self-taught artist. Since 2010, he explores different techniques and styles, highlighting his collection DeMente (2014), where he addresses the stigma of mental illness. In 2016 and 2021 he perfected his technique with Santi Jiménez and Lola Garcerá.
Currently, she presents SAUDADE, a project that reflects on expression and universal emotions such as nostalgia and homesickness, inspired by naïf art, expressionism and artists such as Modigliani and Malak Mattar. Trained psychologist and future art historian, she fuses painting and poetry to connect with the shared human experience.
