Casa das Máquinas

This unique building is a prominent example of early 20th-century industrial architecture in Santiago de Compostela. Built in 1919 by the architect Xesús López de Rego, its original function was to house an electrical transformer serving the city. Following its rehabilitation, this heritage space has been recovered for public use, currently hosting a cultural and multi-purpose centre that acts as a revitalizing element for the Galeras neighbourhood.
