Near the city centre, two large conventional shopping centres bring the Santiago shopping experience to an end. These are called the 'Compostela' Shopping Centre, which consists of Hipercor and Tiendas El Corte Inglés, a chain famous throughout Spain.
Also is it Área Central' Shopping Centre, a large area within the As Fontiñas neighbourhood, where there are all kinds of shops in a very peculiar architectural space combining apartments and business establishments, cafeterias, restaurants and children's playgrounds add to this shopping centre's attractions.
Finally, in late 2012 opened the gates the Shopping Center “As Cancelas”, located in the north part of the city, has a supermarket on the ground floor, fashion stores, accessories, shoes, jewelry and beauty in his second floor so as a floor dedicated to leisure and catering, with all kinds of restaurants and great cinema in 3D.
Although distances are short in Santiago, if you want to use public transport to visit these two shopping centres, you have the number 6 bus for the 'Compostela' shopping centre and the number 11 for 'Area Central', which depart from the centrally located Plaza de Galicia every half hour. To go to “As Cancelas”, the best bust line is also C11.
The Radio Taxi is an alternative transport for access from any point in the city and when you finish making your shopping you can go to the taxi stop outside the shopping centre.
