Cemetery of Boisaca
November 1st and 2nd
On November 2nd, the Church remembers its dead ones and the cemeteries fill with flowers, which relatives place around the graves of their loved ones.
As in all feasts, these ones also have their own confectionery: “huesos de santo” (small marzipan tubes filled with egg yolk and sugar, Malabar gourd and syrup, jam or some other preserve, which may be accompanied by sweet wine) and “buñuelos” (balls of flour and milk that are fried in olive oil and filled with confectioner’s custard).
