The exhibition Ollos de Vidro. As formas doutra historia de Galicia concludes its run with an activity that goes beyond the exhibition space to bring the words of Alfonso Daniel Rodríguez Castelao to life on stage. Two exceptional storytellers, Quico Cadaval and Celso F. Sanmartín, take over the Mozart Hall at the Auditorium to offer us a free retelling of Un ollo de vidro. Memorias dun esquelete.
Quico Cadaval, actor, director, writer, and theatre adapter, is one of the most recognizable and acclaimed voices in Galician and Portuguese oral storytelling—a self-taught narrator who has taken the art of Galician storytelling beyond borders. In 2011, he received the Galician Culture Award for Performing Arts.
Celso Fernández Sanmartín is also an experienced oral storyteller, ethnographer, and poet with a long track record in community and sociocultural work. In 2022, he was awarded the Rebulir Galician Culture Award.
