Real Filharmonía de Galicia-Concerto Final Obradoiro de Dirección
One of the missions of the Real Filarmonía de Galicia is its commitment to the new generations of musicians, be they performers - through the Escuela de Altos Estudios Musicales -, composers - through commissions or the Obradoiro de composición - or new conductors - with the organisation of this new conducting workshop. Guided by Baldur Brönnimann, who is passionate about offering training to professionals starting their careers in music, this workshop will be a meeting point for conductors from the most diverse backgrounds, which we hope will become a hotbed of non-conformists: the conductors of the orchestras of the future!

Festivals
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
