The depictions of Francis of Assisi in Compostelan art feature unique and distinctive iconographies, linked to the legend, history, and tradition of his presence in Santiago. The lecture by José Manuel García Iglesias, Professor of Art History at the University of Santiago de Compostela, will explore the richness and specificity of these works, which are almost exclusive to the city yet clearly influential in the surrounding area. All proceeds will go to support Albergue Xoán XXIII.
