In 1998, the World Health Organization discusses spiritual health as another concept in the definition of health. Since then, many studies have tried and succeeded in relating religion/spirituality with health and have investigated the mechanisms to produce this improvement. In the conference, basic concepts will be presented and the highest quality scientific evidence that seems to demonstrate that faith and social commitment improve the health of the population will be explained.
