Contemporáneas
The objectives of Contemporáneas, a new programme of the City Council of Santiago with the support of the Diputación de A Coruña, are to raise awareness of avant-garde music of the 20th and 21st centuries, to encourage the creation of new compositions and to establish a dialogue between sound innovation and other arts. The first edition of Contemporáneas will offer from October to May eight concerts, one each month, which will include five world premieres and three compositions specifically created for the occasion.

Festivals
The Festa do Banquete de Conxo will count on the tourist train, which will be available to citizens and visitors for free transfers between the Alameda, in the city centre, and the neighbourhood of Conxo.
The 2025 Ascensión Festivities will fill Compostela with music, activities, and tradition during the last week of May. This celebration, one of the most beloved by the people of Santiago, returns with open-air concerts, children’s shows, traditional markets, fairground rides in the Alameda, and exhibitions of Galician folk culture.
