Under the baton of Mario Diz, conductor of the USC Orchestra, and José Luis Vázquez López, conductor of the USC Choir, this project will feature a cast of more than 100 musicians and choralists. Among them, guest musicians such as the violinist Roberto Santamarina stand out. The diversity of the ensembles, made up of students, staff and collaborators from the university community, is a reflection of the commitment to talent and musical education.
The programme includes a careful selection of works that combine tradition and universality, from the Renaissance ‘Non nobis Domine’ by William Byrd to the virtuosity of the ‘Capricho Español’ by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Galician cultural richness will also play a prominent role with the performance of the carol ‘Imos todos contentiños’, arranged by the orchestra's conductor, Mario Diz.
