The Biblioteca de Galicia hosts the premiere of Canta compañeira canta, a musical project in which Felisa Segade and Merchi Rodríguez refer to the remudas, a tradition involving the rotation of partners to make music at tambourine parties, where women are the ones who play and sing so others can dance. A reminiscence of the duo represented by Adolfina and Rosa Casás Rama, two of the cantareiras honored on Día das Letras Galegas 2025.
Felisa Segade and Merchi Rodríguez were members of the group Leilía, pioneers in advocating for the role of women in Galician folklore, who over the years recovered the sound of tambourines and the voices of Galician oral tradition.
