Campionato Galego Absoluto de Inverno de Natación
The Galician Absolute Winter Swimming Championship will take place from 27th to 29th December in the swimming pool of the Santa Isabel municipal pavilion.
In this competition, which has the support of the City Council of Santiago, 355 swimmers will participate, 190 men and 165 women, belonging to 27 clubs. The Club Deportivo Natación Cidade de Santiago will participate with 11 athletes.

Festivals
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
