Rosa's humble apartment, in an old building in the heart of a working-class neighborhood, is the welcoming refuge of a tribe of four organized older women. Rosa (who uses a wheelchair) and her companions, Ana, Marga and Susana, are retired textile workers and are determined to preserve their independence. When Rosa's daughter, Vitoria, proposes to move her to a medical institution and sell the apartment, a struggle begins between two visions of good aging. Faced with Vitoria's decisions, the women defend their right to live together and in freedom and prepare a series of strategies to convince Vitoria.
