Coinciding with the 2025 Galician Literature Day, dedicated to the cantareiras (traditional female singers) and popular tradition, and within the framework of the Banquete de Conxo celebrations, this foliada (folk party) arises to highlight the Galician-Portuguese oral heritage — a shared legacy with the Lusophone world that Ponte...Nas Ondas! has been promoting and passing on to new generations.
The foliada will bring together in Compostela music and dance groups, as well as pandeireteiras (tambourine players), from 15 educational centers in Galicia and Portugal, in a festive pilgrimage celebrating Galician-Portuguese Letters.
The initiative is supported by the City Council, the Provincial Council of A Coruña, the Galician Culture Council and the Xunta de Galicia.
