The program of activities will include the exhibition “150 years of the arrival of the railroad to Galicia”, by the Compostelan Association of Friends of the Railway. It will consist of twenty panels on the history of the Galician railroad. It will cover from its origins in 1873 to the present day. The exhibition also includes various railway objects such as books, lanterns, telephones, etc.. The Spanish Section of the European Association of Railwaymen (AEC-SE) is collaborating in the exhibition.

The activity will also feature models of the train stations of this first train trip. The pieces will be made with pieces from NG Castillos of the Exin Castillos Exin West Association. This exhibition can be visited from Friday, January 17 to Friday, January 31.

The curator of the exhibition is the president of the Spanish Section of the European Association of Railwaymen (AEC-SE) and also president of the Asociación Compostelana de Amigos do Ferrrocarril (ACAF), Carlos Abellán.

To complete this activity, on Saturday January 18th, from 11:00 to 21:00 h., Área Central will host its first edition of the “Feria de maquetismo ferroviario”. Stands specialized in this subject from Madrid will be available to collectors and the curious.
