The Teatro Principal will host from June 16 to 20 the 7th Theatre Festival of the Network of Sociocultural Centers, an established event that allows showcasing and highlighting the work of amateur theatre groups from the CSC network. Nine groups from as many sociocultural centers will participate in the festival.
The 7th Theatre Festival of the Network of Sociocultural Centers will begin on Monday the 16th, with the youth clubs from the Conxo Sociocultural Center presenting three plays starting at 7:00 PM: “O subidón,” “A maldición de Ox Noc,” and “O mundo non atopado.” Following them, from 9:00 PM, the theatre club of the CSC of A Rocha will stage “Milagre do convento.”
On Tuesday the 17th, the session will start at 9:00 PM, featuring two performances: “A Cola,” by the Romaño theatre club; and “Tolemias, ioga e outras psicopatías,” by the Ensanche club. The next day, Wednesday the 18th, Teatro do Muíño de Laraño will perform “Asalto de cama” from 5:00 PM; and the theatre clubs of the CSC of Santa Marta will present three plays starting at 7:00 PM: “Desertar,” “Rural mix,” and “Non quedou ninguén.”
Thursday the 19th will be the turn of the theatre clubs from the As Fontiñas Sociocultural Center, with two plays: “Un alto no camiño” starting at 7:00 PM; and “Asemblea de mulleres” starting at 9:00 PM. The groups closing the festival on Friday the 20th will be Teatro Carauta de San Pedro, with “Moito ruído” from 5:00 PM; and the theatre club of the CSC of Vite, with “O achado do castro” from 9:00 PM.
Admission to the performances is free until full capacity is reached. The doors of the Teatro Principal will open each day 15 minutes before the first performance.
