In the context of Castelao Year 2025, the exhibition project Costumes and Colors of Galicia. National Identity in the Art of Castelao aims to showcase the rich and significant presence of traditional clothing in the pictorial and graphic work of Alfonso Daniel Rodríguez Castelao.

More than 50 mannequins covered with regional linen, with wooden bases and articulated arms, will display faithful reproductions of traditional Galician costumes that appear in Castelao's oils, watercolors, engravings, and sketches. Each mannequin will be accompanied by utensils and antiques to complete the scene being portrayed.

The exhibition will also feature reproductions of Castelao's graphic work in various formats and sizes, traditional goldsmithery, panels with information about the exhibited works and displayed costumes, display cases with graphic and documentary material related to the pieces in the exhibition corpus, as well as an audiovisual projection for the exhibition room.
