The Rapants-Atardecer no Gaiás
Atardecer no Gaiás is an open‑air concert series hosted by Cidade da Cultura . Free of charge, it’s designed to celebrate summer sunsets in Santiago de Compostela with a diverse musical lineup—including rap, neo‑traditional, indie pop, electronic, and tropical rhythms. Held on the Gaiás Central Plaza every Thursday and Friday in July and August, starts at 9 pm .
The Rapants hardly need any introduction. The band, formed in Muros in 2018, has been livening up parties and festivals all over the Iberian Peninsula. With their latest album La máquina del buen rollo (MIN Award for Best Galician album), and a sound that surfs between pop, garage and disco, they come to spread their ‘rapante’ energy and make us dance until our shoes wear out at the first concert of Atardecer no Gaiás.

Festivals
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
