During the months of October, November, and December, the Itinerarios Patrimonio C return, a series of themed guided tours that are free of charge, offering a chance to discover lesser-known heritage elements and spaces in Compostela, along with the experiences, stories, and people who inhabited them.

Under the title “Servas de Deus, donas de si”, this edition focuses on the stories of the women who lived in the enclosed convents of Compostela. The tour goes beyond the romantic or pious view of cloistered life to present a narrative of female power, resistance, and protagonism.
Abbesses and prioresses, many from the nobility, governed complex and self-sufficient communities, managed extensive estates and properties, and even engaged in political and social conflicts that extended beyond convent walls.

To delve into their history and the spaces they inhabited, visits will take place on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, lasting approximately 90 minutes. They are scheduled for October 15 and 29, November 12 and 26, and December 10 and 17. Registration for all visits will open on Monday, October 13 at 12:00 PM on the Compostela Cultura website, and both the confirmation of the spot and the meeting point will be communicated to registered participants via email.
