IBUPROFENO TEATRO
RECONVERSIÓN is a large-scale production for adult audiences, featuring eight actor-musicians who form a charanga and perform the soundtrack live. Blending the intimate with the political, the piece, written and directed by Santiago Cortegoso, is an exercise in historical memory centred on the industrial restructuring of the shipbuilding sector in the Ría de Vigo. The play focuses on the life story of the author’s father, who worked at the Ascón shipyard for thirty years—a figure who embodies the experiences of a whole generation affected by the factory’s closure in 1984 and the historic protests of the 1970s and 1980s.
