Rafael Úbeda has been painting for seven decades. The exhibition Rafael Úbeda. Retrospective view offers a complete overview of his creative career, delving into the most important milestones of his work and the representative pieces that marked each stage of his career.

The artist, after seven decades of active work, represents a part of the history of art that enriches the heritage of Galicia, as well as being one of the most outstanding figures of the plastic arts in Spain, with connections in different places and schools in Europe.

This exhibition is a pictorial story that takes into account his life stages, closely linked to the places where he has lived (Pontevedra, Madrid, Holland and Italy). The exhibition proposes a journey through the universe and the biography of a creator who is one of the main names in Galician painting. Thus, the Gaiás Centre Museum brings together in this exhibition 45 paintings, five drawings and an unpublished audiovisual piece that helps to understand his evolution.
