De Lugares y Órganos has a new date with the cinema at the NUMAX cinema to attend the screening of the film L'Année dernière à Marienbad (Last Year at Marienbad).

Although it may seem otherwise, the organ, as a musical instrument, has left a much deeper mark on cinema than one might think at first glance. Over the years, several films have passed through our programme with a close connection to the world of organs in all possible facets.
Once again this year, the organ takes to the streets to go to the cinema.

The film chosen on this occasion has the singularity that its soundtrack was composed for organ by Francis Seyrig, and it is precisely the music that most intensifies the sensation of ambiguity and interlude that characterises the film. The performer of the music, Marie-Louise Girard, and the organ on which it was recorded, the organ of the Oratoire du Louvre in Paris, contribute to enhance the relevance that the instrument achieves in the whole of a film with a very high cinematographic interest.
