The Auditorio de Galicia Prize reaches its fourteenth edition as a well-established event in Galician contemporary creation — a space for showcasing the work of artists and for fostering encounters with a broad and diverse audience that also includes professionals from the field.
The Isaac Díaz Pardo Gallery presents the selection made by the jury from among the proposals received — a task that is always challenging due to the high quality of the works submitted. The exhibition reflects the richness and diversity of perspectives of the participants, whether individually or as collectives: artists under forty, born or residing in Galicia. This richness is also evident in the variety of disciplines and media they use — painting, sculpture, installations, performances, video art, and others. They experiment with materials, sometimes unconventional ones, giving rise to distinctive and personal styles. They challenge conventions and address subjects that explore concerns shared by society as a whole, of which their work is a reflection. The boundaries between disciplines blur, limits are transcended, and the result is an approach that mirrors the plural society we are.
