A musical show in verse, agile, daring and inspiring. Os contos de Lobicán, by Redrum Teatro and recent winner of the María Casares Award for Puppets and Animated Objects, comes to the Biblioteca de Galicia on the occasion of the International Children's and Young People's Book Day.
This stage show, with a text by Eva Mejuto, winner of the 15th Barriga Verde 2022 Award, turns classic tales on their head to transmit universal values such as cooperation, friendship, respect for nature, critical thinking and the importance of imagination.
Lobican is a curious little animal who enjoys exploring the forest and sharing moments with his family. Despite his reluctance towards school and study, Lobican shows a deep interest in learning about nature and the world around him. Mama Lobicana asks him to take a cake to Grandpa and, while Lobicán is in the forest, he meets Xiana, a little girl who is looking for the way to her aunt Silvana's house. Regardless of their differences, Lobicán and Xiana will establish a strong friendship that will help them overcome dangers and challenges.
The show is inspired by the engaging world of Wes Anderson, where colours, set design, costumes and music weave a moving story that invites children to reflect on the world around them and imagine new possibilities for a more inclusive future.
