The members of the Cultural Association Cidade Vella have prepared various activities in several squares of Compostela’s Old Town to celebrate the most magical night of the year. There will be music, sardiñadas (grilled sardines), snacks, quitameigallos (ritual bonfires), dance groups, foliadas (traditional music gatherings), DJs and, above all, lots of partying.
The activities will kick off at 6 p.m. in Praza de San Martiño with music by Atlántico and O Camalea, starting with a DJ set by Guin followed by DJ Vilouta, along with snacks and a quitameigallos fire.
The route continues nearby at Casa das Crechas with a sardiñada and its traditional foliada, or at Gramola in Praza de Cervantes, featuring the dance group “Os Vivantes.”
The celebration goes on at A Borriquita de Belén in San Paio, where there will be sardines, churrasco (grilled meat), and music, and at Modus Vivendi and A Xuntanza with DJ sets, cauldron fires, and more sardiñadas.
