Cía Voël – Nanuq
I dreamed, as bears dream in winter. A warm, long dream underground. And I woke up! It sounded, and I wanted to dream again, but it was no longer in the dream, it was here, as present and ephemeral as the snow falling from the sky. This sky, with its colors, announces that something is about to happen.
Nanuq is a story of friendship without barriers, told through visual poetry, acrobatics, dance, and puppetry. Two bodies and two masks create a dreamlike world on the edge of the abyss. The show invites the audience to explore a universal universe, especially designed for the youngest viewers.
Cía Voël is the meeting of two different people who complement each other, developing a unique style of visual poetry and symbolic imagery. The company has created stage shows such as Ex-libris, Boira, and Nanuq, as well as the “Reditus” project, a large-format site-specific circus reinterpreting local legends.
