In 2022 and 2023, La Cabra Mecánica celebrated the 25th anniversary of the release of their debut album with an anniversary tour. What began as a one-off reunion turned into an overwhelming celebration that confirmed what many already suspected: La Cabra Mecánica is not just a band, it is part of this country’s musical history. The audience response was so powerful that the band, led by the charismatic Lichis, decided to extend the tour into 2025. With anniversary shows selling out in three of the country’s major cities (Valencia, Barcelona, and Madrid), La Cabra Mecánica is at the heart of a true intergenerational celebration, standing as one of the most beloved bands in Spanish rock.
Throughout their career, La Cabra Mecánica has released some of the most distinctive and acclaimed albums in Spanish pop: Cuando me suenan las tripas, Cabrón, Vestidos de domingo, and Hotel Lichis. The year 2025 marks a new chapter with the release of Canciones y maquetas (1993–1997). At the same time, the band is also the focus of the documentary Antihéroe, directed by Marc de la Varga and premiered in the National Official Section of the In-Edit Festival (Barcelona). The film follows Lichis’s return to the stage and offers an intimate and disarming look at his personal journey, artistic integrity, and the need to come to terms with his own myth.
