Uxío Rodas, sculptor and painter, is considered by his contemporaries to be a true ‘national glory’. His sculptures are in the best international museums. Now he is in his studio, away from civilisation, trying to concentrate on his most important work.
The government of his country, through its president, Uxío's old comrade, commissioned him to create a monumental sculpture to be placed in the main square of the capital. A sculpture to represent and symbolise the nation. Uxío finds it hard to face his work, he is in a creative crisis, and in this situation he receives a visit, first from his representative and dealer in international markets and then from the Minister of Culture of his own country. The current debate, art, culture, markets and politics is served.
