The Municipal School of Music of Santiago de Compostela will hold its traditional Christmas Festival next Friday, December 12, at 7:00 p.m., at the Auditorio de Galicia — an event eagerly awaited by the city’s educational and musical community.
The concert will feature all the major ensembles of the School: the Bandiña, the Banda, the Orquestriña, the Orchestra, the Choirs, the Traditional Music Ensemble, the Modern Music Combo and the Big Band, offering a varied programme designed for all audiences and combining Galician, classical, contemporary and modern music.
The Municipal School of Music, which currently has 434 enrolled students, welcomes learners from the age of 3 with no upper age limit, establishing itself as an inclusive space where all citizens of Santiago, regardless of their condition or ability, can discover, learn and share music. This open and integrative spirit makes the School a leading educational and cultural project in Galicia.
The Christmas Festival aims to showcase the work carried out in recent months by the School's teachers and students, as well as to be a collective celebration that highlights the importance of music education in Santiago’s cultural life. Admission is free until full capacity is reached. For more information, please check the social media and official channels of the Municipal School of Music of Santiago de Compostela.
