Formed in Canvey Island, Essex, UK, in the early 1970s, they remain one of the most loved R&B bands in the world. Their style is a raw and uncompromising Rhythm and Blues that became a refreshing alternative to the Psychedelia and Hard Rock prevailing in those years.
