Concertos nos barrios
Concerts in the Neighbourhoods is an initiative by the Royal Galician Philharmonic Orchestra aimed at bringing symphonic music to every corner of Santiago, taking the orchestra beyond the Auditorium and directly connecting with the public.
These concerts present highlights from our season in a more accessible format, with commentary by the conductor himself, Baldur Brönnimann. With this initiative, the orchestra seeks to break down the invisible walls that distance many people from classical music and to show that this art form belongs to and is for everyone. Music, dialogue and closeness become tools for building a more cohesive, open and culturally active community.

Festivals
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
