We celebrate Children's and Young Adult Literature Day with Pedras de cartón, presenting “Little Red Riding Hood,” one of the most popular classics in children's literature. Little Red Riding Hood is a fairy tale of oral tradition, later adapted by Charles Perrault and, subsequently, by the Brothers Grimm.
Pedras de cartón uses the classic as a starting point to play with popular tales. In an old bakery, two bakers begin their daily routine, setting up the bread, cakes, and all the utensils to open the shop. But that day, the minutes go by, and no one shows up... From this situation, we deconstruct the stories we all know: The Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Ugly Duckling, Snow White, The Tin Soldier... and Little Red Riding Hood.
“Little Red Riding Hood” is an object theater comedy starring Juan Rodríguez and Leonardo Casado, who play with the story using a gestural language, almost without words, set in the world of a traditional bakery.
