The film, sponsored by the Diputación de A Coruña and the Vice-presidency of the Diputación de Lugo and with the collaboration of the City Council of Santiago for the preview, is an essay that explores the relationship between photographic art and the expression of desire from a feminist point of view.
The Sala Mozart will host at 19.30 the first showing of this film, which will be free until full capacity is reached, and a colloquium with its directors: Pilar Abades, Sabela Iglesias and Adriana P. Villanueva.
This film reflects on the photographic act, the construction of the hexemonic gaze and the transformation that the representation of women's bodies has undergone throughout history, with the perspective and discursive choices of this discipline. Choices that served to entrench gender roles and stereotypes that are still in force today.
