VIII Poetry Festival for Corpo Principal

The Alguén que respira! festival will turn Compostela into the Galician epicentre of poetry. The event returns to the Teatro Principal faithful to its vocation to create a framework for reflection on reality and current society.

The VIII Festival de Poesía para Corpo Principal brings together more than forty poets, musicians and performers in an intense programme of recitals, conversations and interdisciplinary shows.

The writer, critic and teacher Xosé María Álvarez Cáccamo signs this year's Galician Manifesto for World Poetry Day.

The Irish poet Ailbhe ní Ghearbhuig, the Peruvian Mario Montalbetti and the Palestinians Sammer Abu Hawwash and Mohamad Bitari stand out among the international figures of an edition that pays special attention to the so-called 'Xeración dos Neos' of Galician poetry.
