From September 25, the first floor of the Faculty of Philology will host the exhibition The Creative Emotion. Manuel Gómez Román and Galicianist Architecture, which explores the career of the architect from Vigo, a leading figure of Galicianism and a key exponent of regionalist architecture in Galicia.
The exhibition highlights Gómez Román’s (1876–1964) commitment to creating an architecture rooted in Galicia’s own identity, inspired by Romanesque and Baroque heritage, and also features two virtualization projects by Carlos Paz Lorenzo and Andrés Armesto Cortiña from the Centro Infográfico Avanzado de Galicia.
