Xuventude Crea: Sara Gimeno + Lontras
As is tradition, the Atardecer no Gaiás stage will host the winning proposals in the music category of the Xuventude Crea 2024 contest, with which the Xunta de Galicia rewards the youngest talent. The R&B of Sara Gimeno from Cantabria, who won the first prize with the songs Quérote and Dans les rues de Bordeaux; and the fusion of jazz and indietronica of Lontras (2nd prize with Sangue no canal and Peixe no millo) will perform in the central square
Atardecer no Gaiás is an open‑air concert series hosted by Cidade da Cultura . Free of charge, it’s designed to celebrate summer sunsets in Santiago de Compostela with a diverse musical lineup—including rap, neo‑traditional, indie pop, electronic, and tropical rhythms. Held on the Gaiás Central Plaza every Thursday and Friday in July and August, starts at 9 pm .

Festivals
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
