Leandro Barea (Lugo, 1974) is one of the most compelling graphic artists, illustrators, and muralists in Galicia today, with an extensive list of national and international awards. A regular contributor to newspapers, children’s magazines, and satirical publications such as El Jueves, as well as to fanzines, his style—both humorous and thought-provoking—closely aligns with the spirit of philosophy itself. This exhibition of 25 of his works finds a particularly fitting home in the Faculty of Philosophy.
Leandro challenges the viewer with bold designs and texts that, above all, make one think and question oneself—our prejudices and expectations. His graphic art is always surprising, never losing its spirit of social critique, which resonates instantly with the public.
