Nadal na Praza Roxa
The Praza Roxa will be one of the focal points of Christmas in Santiago. Concerts, games, performances and attractions will fill the Ensanche of Santiago de Compostela with light and colour.
CHRISTMAS TRAIN
- From 6 to 8 December and from 20 December to 7 January: from 11.00 to 14.00 h and from 17.00 to 20.30 h.
- 24 and 31 December: mornings only.
- 25th December, 1st and 6th January: closed.
- Outside the holiday period (from 29th November to 5th December and from 9th to 20th December): Monday to Thursday: from 6pm to 8pm. Fridays from 17.00 to 20.30 h. Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00 to 14.00 h. and from 17.00 to 20.30 h.
CARPA ROXA
From 5 December
Concerts, workshops, storytelling, board games... you can table games... anything can happen in the Praza Roxa this Christmas!

Festivals
The “Xenerais da Ulla” is the most outstanding feature of the Ulla region’s traditional Carnival. It has been held in the surroundings of Santiago since the first half of the 19th century: the “Xenerais” (generals) ride on horseback, dressed in colourful military garments similar to those of that time, but they also include purely carnivalesque adornments, which the horses also wear.
