Melodiam-Atardecer no Gaiás
Melodiam, a duo formed by Almudena and Carlota from Pontevedra, come to the central square of the Gaiás from Berlin. Theirs is an electronic and urban proposal with lively lyrics that takes care to detail the art direction, production and composition of their songs to build a personal imaginary that takes inspiration from global melodies.
Atardecer no Gaiás is an open‑air concert series hosted by Cidade da Cultura . Free of charge, it’s designed to celebrate summer sunsets in Santiago de Compostela with a diverse musical lineup—including rap, neo‑traditional, indie pop, electronic, and tropical rhythms. Held on the Gaiás Central Plaza every Thursday and Friday in July and August, starts at 9 pm .

Festivals
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
