On September 18, Galería Luisa Pita will inaugurate the exhibition LOVE IS POP by Salustiano, coinciding with the opening of Aberto 2025, the event organized by Contemporánea (the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of Galicia), which from September 18 to 20 jointly launches the 2025/2026 exhibition season.

The exhibition, on view until November 7 at the gallery’s headquarters (Cardenal Payá Street, 9, Santiago de Compostela), brings together recent paintings, drawings, and editions in which the Sevillian artist reaffirms beauty and love as central themes of the contemporary experience. Among the featured works are Zahara con hostia, Diego con cigüeña, and Alma mater, which highlight the tension between the classical and the pop, the intimate and the monumental.

In parallel, as part of Aberto 2025, Galería Luisa Pita will take part in the collective exhibition of the ten galleries that make up Contemporánea (Territorio Contemporánea 2025) at the ABANCA Social Center, located in Plaza de Cervantes (Santiago de Compostela). There, two emblematic pieces from LOVE IS POP will be on display: Under the rain. Juanito and On the road. Zahara con pistola de agua.

With this dual presence, Galería Luisa Pita places Salustiano’s work in dialogue with both the collective context of Aberto and the city’s exhibition calendar, reaffirming its commitment to the promotion of contemporary creation.
