In 19th-century bohemian Paris, four artist friends survive between dreams and poverty in a garret. One night, the poet Rodolfo meets Mimì, a young and ill seamstress, and between them is born a love as intense as it is fragile. While the city pulses with joy, the couple and their friends experience moments of passion, humour, and hope, defying everyday hardship. However, Mimì’s health deteriorates, and Rodolfo, unable to help her, suffers in silence. Love and friendship are put to the test in the face of adversity. At last, Mimì returns to say goodbye in the garret where it all began. Their story, marked by beauty and sadness, celebrates the fleeting nature of youth and the eternal power of love.
