Kumbh Mela, meaning “Pot Meeting,” is the largest religious celebration in the world within Hinduism. Each cycle gathers devotees in the sacred cities of Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain to perform the snana, the sacred bath, seeking purification, forgiveness of sins, and spiritual liberation (moksha). From January 13 to February 26, 2025, a special Kumbh Mela took place in Prayagraj, captured in photographs by Manuel Valcárcel «Piro», an event that will not be repeated for another 144 years.
